Video Footage Inside Jarvis Mine

Dog Died In Mine

Ok. I'm not getting much traction here. I've been trying to get the word out. I've tried calling people like forest rangers, the BLM, the sheriff's office in the local town, and nothing. People think I'm crazy. But crap man, what does a guy have to do to get your attention. I'm not doing this for me. I’m doing it for you guys out there. My dog is gone. Nothing is bringing Millie back. I accept that. But, holy shit man. I almost didn't make it out alive myself. If anybody else goes back in there, I'm not responsible. At least I've done everything I can. Don't blame me. But, if there is anybody out there who is interested in the details, just email me or call me. I'll be happy to unload it all.

For now, here are some pictures of Millie, a sort of tribute to her. She was an awesome dog and we had some good adventures together. She was only 5 years old.

Hey dude, thanks for meeting up with me yesterday! I'm really glad we could check this place out, it was really cool exploring it. I have to say I was expecting something freaky to happy with the way you described it, I mean the mine was cool and all but I think you psyched yourself out the first time. Anyway I think it's going to be really fun for me and my friends next week. Thanks again. -Brad

brad- no problem man. yea saturday was fun, but still, I don't think you're taking this seriously enough-- what happened to me the first I went there, I can't deny it, it scared the hell out of me. You really gotta be careful if you decide to go back there next week with your friends. -stan

Stan,

I was reading about your fascinating albeit tragic experience in a
mine with your black lab. Is the mine haunted? Could be but I also
have another theory as to what might have transpired. One of the many
dangers of abandoned mines is that they can harbour dangerous animals
like venomous snakes and bears, etc. I believe your dog was probably
killed by a mountain lion or some other very large cat.

Dogs have much more sensitive hearing than humans. She heard there
was something back in there and took off after it. We had a black lab
once and they do that stuff. Our black lab killed at least a dozen
ground hogs and a half dozen coons when we had her!

Anyhow, that is my theory as to what happened. Is it right? Who
knows? I do not believe in ghosts *BUT* neither do I believe that
ghost do not exist. I just plain don't know.

Yesterday I did a post in which I expressed my theory that Stan's poor dog might have been killed either by a mountain lion or some other very large cat. Unfortunately I have received no responses back yet. I hope one will be forthcoming but if not I can continue the already established tradition on this site of responding to my own entry !

I was curious about this so-called "Jarvis Mine" and wanted to learn more. I tried "Googling" for it and I found a reference to a "Port Jarvis" mine also in Colorado. Are those two names actually one and the same or are they actually two different mines? Below is a URL that leads to a map showing the general location of the Port Jarvis mine back in the mountains very roughly half way between I-70/U.S. 6 and State Route 103 southwest from Denver. Is this where that happened?

https://maps.google.com/?q=Port+Jarvis+Mine%4039.7249876,-105.6288903

I actually obtained that information from this website here:

http://colorado.hometownlocator.com/maps/feature-map,ftc,2,fid,1693898,n,port%20jarvis%20mine.cfm

But, sadly, it provides no additional information other than the name and the map. The type of mine is listed as "N/A".

So, Stan the Man, we would be interested in hearing from you on this. In addition to having a life-long fascination with abandoned mines, I am also a railfan. Therefore, I am particularly interested in mines that have tracks in them. From what I could see from your video, it appeared as though this mine has tracks although it was hard to tell at times since the lighting was less than ideal.
Although I am way, way, too old to do anything like it now, I did do some poking around in abandoned mines myself when I was young and I have to admit that it is darn fun! But it is so dangerous that it is not worth the risk. I never ventured in very far but it was probably further than I should have.

In addition to the danger of wildlife hibernating in there, everything from rattlesnakes to grizzlies and everything in between including dangerous cats, you also have the ever constant threat of a cave in. Actually, after you found your dog, running out of the mine was exactly the wrong thing to do because the vibration alone could have rattled something loose. But if I had been in your shoes, I would have probably lost my head and done the same thing.

Also, it is easy to wander into an area where there is simply no oxygen in the air and you might not realize this until you've lost consciousness. Additionally many mines have holes in the floor that can be hundreds or even thousands of feet deep. One plunge into a hole like that and it's lights out! A few mines are actually so huge that people have gone in exploring and just plain got lost and unable to find their way out again.

So, like they say, "stay out and stay alive". Although for an expert who really and truly knows what they are doing, exploring abandoned mines is probably no more dangerous than rock face climbing. But you really have to know what you are doing. I didn't.

Fred M. Cain,

Hey stantheman I happened across your video on YouTube just today and was wondering if I could get any info that you have on this place and what happened the day Millie died for I am a person who hates it when they lose a beloved pet or as I think of them family member not to mention my firm belief that ghosts do exist. So any info you are willing to share is great.

What the fuck you was thinking when she ran to get into the cave?
Why you didn't stop her? Why you let her get into the cave more and more till lost her into darkness? Honestly you could stop her at time!!! fucking idiot...

You shouldn't had let Millie get into the mine without having explored before, you should had a chain around his neck so she could not stay away from you at any time, it is common sense to have certain precautions in places where there is no security and more even for a dog, she died because it was your fault, for not having the proper precautions to look after her in a place like an abandoned cave where I honestly would have preferred to you died instead than the little Millie.
Actually I'm really upset to you because you did not take care for her as his owner.

I just gotta say how much this sounds like a crock of $#!+. 1.) Brad doesn't exist and never went into the mine with you. 2.) You haven't given any reason for anyone to believe your story. You state all these SUPER generic locations (i.e. Local ranger/sheriff, 'Closest town') but never ANY specifics. 3.) Generally if my pet is running into an unsafe unknown, I stop it. Regardless of 'what it may see'. 4.) Where's the evidence of a police report? I imagine the authorities would have wanted you to fill one out, if not only to ensure you're not an animal abuser. 5.) Very vague footage of you following your dog, then getting a glimpse of "something" (god only knows what we're supposed to be seeing), and then walking at a slightly faster pace.

Now, with all that being said, if this is NOT real, then state it's not real, and let people enjoy it legitimately. If it IS real, then you're doing a really awful awful job of bringing it to people's attention. Evidence usually helps, and by evidence, I mean locations, pictures of the locations, maps, potential pictures of where the dog supposedly died. You would not make for a good detective, homie.

Viral campaign genius for the abandoned cave film, it's only bizarre that it took years for the movie to come out after the viral was done, probably had problems in production, boring see an idea for a viral so fucking for such a boring movie, horror movie Pg-13 ? Hi. I call BS. Your video is full of edits after reviewing it frame by frame with sound effects added. As you plunge deeper and deeper into the mine in search for "millie" crossing voids, holes in floors with tracks over them (like millie could navigate them) and at one point coming to a cross in the road (shines light to left tunnel track set, then shines to light to the right tunnel track set) deeper and deeper you go. You find millie behind two wooden X posts, approach carefully, making sure your camera doesn't get the full entire picture, a growl and snarl is heard and you immediately beat feet outta there. Now here's the best part, as you turn around and run with the camera we can see the tunnel entrance (YES, that rectangular blueish light) getting bigger and bigger as you approach it running at top speed breathing heavily not looking back. hence you were out of that mine faster than you were in. NICE TRY BUT I DOUBT IT.

I'm sorry you lost your dog, dogs are amazing beautiful loyal loving creatures and ultimately family members, I don't mean to make you feel worse then You already do, but why would you bring her in there?! She obviously was afraid and didn't want to be in there or for you to be in there, she died for you and you left her in there I'm sorry but I am weeping about this. I'm so disturbed by the whole situation and the fact you made her keep going when she didn't want to be there dogs are extremely sensitive to the paranormal... And you left her in that horrible place with whatever the hell was in there .. I'm sure you could have quickly scooped her up and burried her properly and said goodbye and thank you.. the poor girl . My heart is weeping for her. I wish I never saw this video.

1- why the hell would you bring your dog into the mine (dangerous place), 2- your dog was wailing because she knew something dangerous was there, and yet you still let her walk over to the area,(when you shouldnt of!) 3- you ran off/away while she was getting eatin, (im sorry you lost your dog, but it was your fault) (dogs are loyal and would protect you at any cost) you should of bought some kind of weapon with you in the first place. If you were going into a dangerous place. Also i wouldnt of bought my dogs at all into a place like that

I just found this video in a compilation of cave videos on youtube, but i do have to say i got worried and wanted to see if the dog was still alive... I then found out that first of all this is work done by some people who made a movie named abandoned mine... I was trying to look for cuts in the movie to see if its fake and stuff, and it is. If you look here in the comment section, you can see that STAN only reply to BRAD'S messages... which caused suspicion as to why only that one person, and why not condole the dog, which is common courtesy.. I then realised that the main character in the movie is named Brad...... and his friend group wants to visit the mine... if you are still reading then you probably see the things I see here. I think its a shame that they put all this put there without confirming it was fake, and not to say it was for the movie... but since it was about an animals health I looked it up, it is all fake.

You should never let your dog alone in a place like this! But he saved you dying first do give you enough time to escape alivre. I think that a kind of wild animal lives into the cave. You should study more about animals that has ist habitat in that region. Probably, for me, there was a bobcat there, one that could surprise your pet and kill silently, waiting for the next: you. The sound heard seems to be a growl.

Slenz said...

Filho da puta, me fez ficar preocupado à toa.
